New beta build is live

  • Cheap respecs

    Beta only

Your first talent reset costs 1 silver. Later resets cost more, then drop back to 1 silver after an hour. Try the builds below freely.

  • Gnome Eureka!

    Reworked

Now a flat 10% discount on Mana, Rage or Energy abilities for every class. The patch note mentions no damage bonus, so Gnome slips on burst classes.

  • Wands & oils

    Nerf

Wands no longer add your spell damage. Minor, Lesser and regular Wizard Oil are back to Classic values (8/16/24 spell power). Some early caster quest rewards and quest item levels were also corrected, so a tooltip may differ slightly from our gear tables.

  • Campfire buff

    Fix

You can cast, craft and buff while waiting for it, and sitting, chairs, sleeping or kneeling all count.

  • Cooldown Manager

    New · opt-in

Moves key buffs and cooldowns anywhere on screen. Enable it under Options → Gameplay Enhancement. Testable for Druid, Mage, Priest, Warrior and Warlock; no spell-rank support yet.

  • Alliance questing

    Fixes

Elwynn: faster Murloc, Narf and Nimsy respawns, more Enchanting crates, and Jasperlode and Fargodeep lost their candles, so bring friends. Dun Morogh: faster Snow Leopards and a lootable rifle for Treacherous Cold. Teldrassil: Gnarlpine bounty down to 15. Westfall: more Defias Messengers. Zephras Isle: Catching Wind redesigned. Mother Fang respawns more slowly and no longer always drops a green, and Helene Peltskinner now teaches Skinning even while you're on her quest.

  • Known issues

    Blizzard list

Changing party makeup can move you to another world instance, the Stormwind minimap is glitchy, and the Personal Resource Display doesn't show combo points.

Player reports: bugs and changes testers found that Blizzard's notes don't mention

Found in the community bug tracker, Blizzard's forums and datamining. Reddit couldn't be read directly. Nothing here is confirmed by Blizzard unless it says so.

  • Level cap

    Disputed

Blizzard said the beta starts at level 20 and rises to 30 "after a couple of weeks". No raise has been announced yet, so the cap may still be 20.

  • Dungeon healing

    Bug

Direct heals are about 25–35% weaker when a healer at level 16 or below heals someone at 17 or above. HoTs and shields are unaffected.

  • MP5 on gear

    Bug

MP5 reportedly pays out every second instead of every 5 seconds, a big accidental boost for casters. It may already be fixed.

    Tracker #54 · Medium confidence

  • Experience

    Bug

Low-level mobs give about 26% less XP than in Classic Era (40 vs 54 for a level 10 killing a level 5). A single point of damage also earns full XP if someone else finishes the mob.

  • Mobs

    Bug

Mobs 5 or more levels above you only aggro at very short range, and mobs can parry attacks from behind.

  • Gnome Eureka!

    Disputed

The notes list only a 10% cost discount. One guide says the 10% damage bonus stayed. It used to be 50% for Mage and Warlock, 40% Warrior, 20% Rogue and 15% Priest, and casters say the change hit them hardest.

  • Sharding

    Player feedback

Players say they get moved between world instances far more often than the known issue about party changes suggests, including while camping rares.

  • Crafted gear

    Player feedback

Blue crafted boots from Leatherworking and Blacksmithing are usable at level 10. Players call "armor profession plus one dungeon" the strongest leveling route and want the gear to be tradable.

  • New item sets

    Undocumented

Datamining found a new leveling item set, and older sets now give a bonus at every 2 to 6 pieces. The Deadmines Defias Leather set gets a 5% bleed proc.

  • Cooldown Manager

    Disputed

A player reports there's no "Gameplay Enhancement" options section where the notes say to enable it. One checkbox only works with Shift+click.
